Director Ellis Jennings Jr. created EJs Warriors the Documentary as both a record of struggle and a celebration of transformation. What began as a small karate program in a church basement was built to provide structure, discipline, and opportunity for youth facing crime and instability in their community. Through this film, Jennings aims to show that martial arts is more than competition it is mentorship, accountability, and a pathway to purpose. By documenting the academy’s setbacks, growth, and eventual national recognition, the film highlights the power of resilience, faith, and community-driven leadership.
